$1.3m given to discourage marijuana farming in Navosa


An NGO has contributed $1.3m to boost the agricultural sector in the Navosa highlands.

The development is being used to combat marijuana cultivation in the area.

Adventist Development Relief Agency’s contribution will be used to construct a produce storage facility, beekeeping, pastoral farming and increasing crop production.

Navosa is currently trying to find a substitute crop to marijuana.
