Newly-appointed Fiji Rugby Union chair Filimone Waqabaca has confirmed that it will cost $10million annually to operate the union .
Waqabaca said they were finalising the $10m figure by working out the value of FRU’s products and reviewing the development, operational and administration costs of the union.
He further said that although the two-year term was not enough, the board would do everything possible to bring financial stability to the governing body of Fiji rugby.
During the annual general meeting this year, it was revealed the FRU had recorded a loss of $606,647 and Waqabaca said finance was their top priority.
He said one of the key areas the marketing team would be looking at was getting sponsors.
