146 cases of child labour recorded so far

146 cases of child labour have been recorded in Fiji so far this year. And of these 24 children have been sent back to schools in the first five months of this year.

Speaking at the World Day Against Child Labour celebrations in Suva this morning, acting Labour Permanent Secretary Samuela Namosimalua said that there is more concentration on child labour in the commercial and industrial sectors however several children are employed in domestic work and are deprived of education.
