A $1 million tertiary institute will be built by the Islamic Institute and Orphans Home of the South Pacific in Drasa, Lautoka for its 120 orphans.
The new institute would provide further technical skills for the orphans.
The construction of the building will cost about $500,000 while installing equipment and machines for the classrooms will cost another $500,000.”
The institute is seeking assistance from donor agencies. The project was expected to begin at the end of the year.
Fiji National University would provide curriculum advice for the new school.
