American company, One Hundred Sands Limited will employ around 400 locals to construct the $290m casino and convention centre.
Meanwhile, the company has confirmed that the project will officially start next Monday.
The project will be built 300 metres before Denarau.Company chair, Larry Claunch confirmed that the earth works will start on Monday or Tuesday and the geo-tech work will kick in once the land is cleared.
According to the company, funding has been confirmed and secured for the project and they will construct the casino and convention centre first before starting work on the 300 hotel rooms.
Meanwhile, the company has agreed to pay the Fiji government US$100,000 per month penalty from October 1 2013 until the project$ is completed in Nadi.
