Employment tribunal says USP staff should get pay rise

The Employment Tribunal has ordered the USP and USP staff union to resume negotiations on the level of pay rise because as per the Collective Agreement between the University of the South Pacific and the USP staff union, USP staff are automatically entitled to a pay rise.

The order says that there was no discrimination by the USP and the parties should conclude negotiations within three months.

The parties are to commence negotiations starting from the 8.2% salary increase from 2009.
