England stars of the future proved their worth by putting the Barbarians to the sword with a 40-12 success at Twickenham on Sunday.

Freddie Burns gave the home side the perfect start with a try inside the opening minute of the non-cap international.

The Gloucester fly-half extended the lead with three more penalties before England cut loose in the second half.

Marland Yarde, Kyle Eastmond, Christian Wade and Billy Twelvetrees all crossed the tryline before the visitors finished with somewhat of a flourish.

Schalk Brits’ close-range effort put the Barbarians on the board before Englishman Elliot Daly scored the final try of the match.
