Former secondary schools athletics champion Suliana Gusuivalu will be one of Fiji’s drawcards for the Fijiana women’s rugby team at the Rugby World Cup Sevens.

Guisuivalu, the daughter of former sevens winger Etuate ‘Honda’ Gusuivalu, will carry on the family’s rugby legacy at Moscow.

Her elder sister Josivini was dropped from the team and the onus will be on the former Suva Grammar School athlete to continue the momentum.

The Timoci Wainiqolo-coached side will be captained by Priscilla Siata. Fiji is drawn in Pool C with Spain, Brazil and United States.

Wainiqolo’s final selection was based on experience and speed as he hopes for a top four finish in Moscow.

The Fijiana qualified the hard way for the World Cup, going through two competitive qualifying paths in Oceania and Asia.
