Four Fiji brothers to participate in Rugby League World Cup

With the Rugby League world cup looming at the end of the month, the Fiji Bati have named a strong line up to take the world stage. But the side is already going down in the history books as four sets of brothers will represent the Fiji Bati side.

Brothers Ashton, Tariq and Korbin Sims, Wes and Kevin Naiqama, Ryan and Daryl Millard along with Ailipate and KaliovaTani will all feature for the Fiji Bati side.

And another son of Fiji is also making waves ahead of the world cup.

Parramatta Eels co-captain and former Fiji Bati, Jarryd Hayne has been selected in Australia’s 24-man squad to play in the 2013 Rugby League World Cup in England.

Hayne got the nod to wear the green and gold jersey again ahead of former fellow Bati team-mates John Sutton and AkuilaUate.He will be amongst the likes of rugby league greats, Jonathan Thurston, Billy Slater, Greg Inglis, Paul Gallen and Daly Cherry-Evans.

The Rugby League World Cup kicks off on the 27th of this month with Fiji taking on Ireland in their first match on the 29th.
