Highlanders v Crusaders

Dan Carter Kieran Read
The sixth placed Crusaders will be looking to keep their Super Rugby title hopes alive when they travel to Dunedin to play the last placed Highlanders in the overall standings.

The last two matches between the Highlanders and the Crusaders have been won by the Crusaders but in the last five the Highlanders have won twice.

Kieran Read has been benched for this match.

Overall the Highlanders have played the Crusaders 23 times since May 1996 and they have won 8 times with no draws.

The Crusaders have chosen to rest some of their All Blacks for this match but the team that has been named is still a strong match with plenty of experience.

In particular, Corey Flynn has been named to win his 130th Super Rugby cap for the Crusaders which will make him the most capped Crusader of all time. He is now level with Reuben Thorne.
