Island assault investigation underway
Four villagers from Soso village, Naviti Yasawa entered a resort on Naukacuvu Island yesterday and allegedly assaulted the owners of the resort.
Two are now being questioned by the police for alleged assault.
16 people were sacked yesterday by the resort which the workers were not happy with and this led to a confrontation following which police had to be called in.
These workers were terminated as they were inconsistent with their work.
200 workers are currently involved in construction at the resort which will be opening soon.
