Naivalu’s corruption trial in October

The former chair of the Boxing Commission of Fiji, Sakaraia Tuva Naivalu will go on trial for corruption in October.

Naivalu has rejected the four counts of corruptly taking a reward.

It is alleged that between April 30 – May 15 2010 in Suva, Naivalu dishonestly took more than $600 cash from a boxing promoter, promising to have the suspension on the  promoter’s license lifted.
