$100,000 for World Biodiversity Day celebrations

Almost $100,000 will be spent to celebrate the World Biodiversity Day.

The nationwide celebration, which will start on May 22, will be funded by the government.

The global theme for this year is Water and Biodiversity while Fiji has chosen Green Fiji Our Lifestyle Working Together for a Safer Home, as this year’s national theme.

Special focus will be on the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park and development of national strategies to protect the environment.
