$290m casino project ready to start

American company,  One Hundred Sands Limited has confirmed the $290m casino and convention centre project will be built 300 metres before Denarau and that the project is  ‘well underway’.

According to the company, funding has been confirmed and secured for the project and they will construct the casino and convention centre first before starting work on the 300 hotel rooms.

Meanwhile, the company has agreed to pay the Fiji government US$100,000 per month penalty from October 1 2013 until the project$ is completed in Nadi.

The company has admitted that it will take between 12 to 15 months for the project complete.
