400m senior finals this evening
Stiff competition is expected in the senior boys and girls 400 metres final this evening.
Top contenders emerged winners during the heats and have booked their places in the showdown.
In the boys division, Suva Grammar’s Kemueli Waqa looks favorite for gold after he finished on top in the heats with a time of 49.15 seconds.
He is expected to face a tough battle from Nakauvadra’s Penijamini Kovevanua who clocked a time of 49.50s.
In the senior girls division, Adi Cakobau’s Miriama Senokonoko and Jasper’s Sereima Liku are the front runners.
