7s world cup training squad now in camp

 

The final 12-man team to the Moscow rugby world cup will be named a fortnight before the tournament.

Head coach Alifereti Dere will select a 21-man squad after the Marist 7s which will be held next Friday and Saturday.

20 members of the national 7s world cup training squad marched into camp earlier today.

Watisoni Votu was the only overseas based player at rugby house this morning while Joeli Lutumailagi, Metuisela Talebula, Alipate Ratini and Seremaia Burotu will join the squad later today.

Timoci Matanavou, Waisea Nayacalevu, Vereniki Goneva and Nikola Matawalu are expected in the country later on.

Fiji based players also missing from the squad this morning include Vilitati Sokiveta and Ulaiyasi Lawavou.
