Alleged murderer in court

Livai Lino, 27, who allegedly murdered a storeman near Namotomoto Village last Friday, made his first court appearance at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

Lino is alleged to have stabbed Ashwin Roy Lal, 42, who later died of his injuries at the Nadi hospital.

Lino has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination at the Saint Giles hospital. Lino who remains in police custody will re appear in the Suva Magistrates Court on July 8.
