Assessors: Mau, Pratap not guilty
Assessors have delivered a verdict of not guilty in the abuse of office and extortion case of former Post Fiji executives Peni Mau and Dhirendra Pratap today.
The High Court will deliver the judgement tomorrow.
It was alleged that in 2006, Mau had approved the payment of $5,400 to Pratap without the authority of the Post Fiji board.
Pratap was alleged to have accepted the payment as reward for his performance of his duty as general manager finance. The payment, according to prosecution witness was made outside Pratap’s contract.
