Curry ruled out of Moscow 7s RWC

Manawatu’s Scott Curry has been ruled out of the New Zealand sevens team for this month’s World Cup in Russia after fracturing a bone in his right hand during training yesterday.
He has been replaced by Pita Ahki (North Harbour), a member of the Blues’ wider training group who made his debut for the national sevens side in the Glasgow tournament this year.
Ahki was also a member of New Zealand under-20s last year.
DJ Forbes has also been confirmed as captain after passing fitness trials.
The team flies to Moscow tomorrow night for the tournament which begins on June 28.

Saturday, June 29: v Georgia (5.44pm, NZT)
Sunday, June 30: v USA (12.20am, NZT)
