Fiji falls

Wales defeated Fiji 19 – 14 in their third pool match in the Moscow RWC this morning.
 Skipper Levani Botia scored Fiji’s first try which was successfully converted to put Fiji in early lead 7 – 0.
Fiji led 7 – 5 at half time.
Alex Webber stepped through to score for Wales and the defending champs took over the lead  12-7.

Wales scored again through Lee Williiams and in a double blow to Fiji, Metuisela Talebula was yellow carded for a late tackle.  Wales lead 19-7and Fiji was on the rack.

Jasa Veremalua then scored for Fiji and it was 19-14 to Wales with 33 seconds left.

Wales won a scrum and kicked it out.

Kenya, New Zealand, England and Wales are the first men’s teams through to Cup quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana conceded last second try to Brazil and fell 17 – 14.
