Fiji need to defeat Tonga to win PNC title

The Inoke Male coached Flying Fijians team need to defeat Tonga this Sunday to win the Pacific Nations Cup since both teams have an equal opportunity to claim the title.

The Akapusi Qera captained Fiji team defeated USA 35 – 10 in Japan last night. Fiji registered four tries to Timoci Nagusa, Sakiusa Matadigo, Nikola Matawalu,  and Nemia Kenatale. Seremaia Bai converted three penalties and three conversions which brings his personal tally to 15 points in the game.

Canada is currently in the lead with 13 points but they have completed all their matches, Fiji is second with 11 points and Tonga is third with 10 points. Canada went down to Japan 13 – 16.

The Flying Fijians will face Tonga at 3:10pm FJ Time this Sunday in Japan
