Fiji ranked 60th in latest World Bank report

Fiji has been ranked 60th in the latest World Bank report on Economy on Ease of Doing Business.

This ranking is a slight improvement from the previous report in which Fiji was placed 72nd.

It has been confirmed that some Pacific Island nations and countries similar to Fiji have received better ranking than Fiji.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and the Fiji Institute of Accountants have established a forum to provide a platform to promote common aims and objectives for mutual benefit, and particularly to promote improved tax compliance and tax administration systems and processes.

FRCA will also be setting up a mini customer service center at the accountants annual congress in Nadi this weekend where tax and custom queries will be attended to by FRCA senior executives.

Quarterly meetings are held between FRCA and Fiji Institute of Accountants where concerns on tax payers, tax practitioners and tax administrators and businesses are shared.
