Flying Fijians wallop the Classic All Blacks 33 -14

The Inoke Male coached Flying Fijians scored three second-half tries to defeat the Classic All Blacks selection 33 – 14 in a match marking the centenary of the Fiji Rugby Union and the opening of the newly renovated ANZ stadium in Suva tonight.

Center Nemani Nadolo, loose forward Malakai Ravulo and prop Setefano Somoca scored tries as Fiji, trailing 14-6 at halftime, rallied to beat a team including nine former All Blacks. Inside center Seremaia Bai kicked three conversions and four penalties for 18 points.

The Classic All Blacks’ points came from a try to former All Blacks flanker Adam Thomson and three penalties to flyhalf Orene Ai’i.

Fiji skipper Akapusi Qera said that the win is well deserved.

The Flying Fijians are now preparing for their last two matches in the Pacific Nations Cup where they face USA next Wednesday 8.10pm and Tonga on the 23rd of this month.
Both matches will be held in Japan.
