Hardwood company workers under investigation over $24,000 theft
Police have launched an investigation into an alleged $24,000 theft at the Fiji Hardwood Corporation.It has been confirmed that some workers of the FHC are now being questioned in relation to the alleged theft of cash and equipment from the Waivunu sawmill in Serua and the Navutu manufacturing site in Lautoka, over the past years.
A significant amount of timber has also been allegedly stolen from these sites. Both sites have suspended operation as it was running at a loss.
