New court date for Ioane

Australian wing Digby Ioane has been given a court date of August 6 after what’s been described as “storm in the tea cup” events of Monday.

ARU chief Bill Pulver gave that assessment after Reds man missed yesterday’s court appearance, with a warrant then issued for the player’s arrest.

Ioane, who will miss the rest of the Lions series due to a shoulder injury, went to the Melbourne police on Tuesday and received his new date.
