Provincial council meetings still on hold

The Provincial council meeting system will not include other races, confirmed the I-Taukei Affairs ministry today.

Meanwhile, the dates of the 14 provincial council meetings are yet to be finalised as the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is yet to appoint provincial council chairman for all the councils.

So far, the government has appointed the chairman for the Ba and Rewa provincial council meetings.

Uraia Waibuta is the chair for the Rewa provincial council while the Tui Tavua Ratu Jale Ratu will chair the Ba provincial council meeting this year.
