Some money recovered, daylight robbery suspects to be charged soon
Police have recovered more than $5,000 from the over $86,000 stolen during a daring daylight robbery in Nabua on Monday.
Three people arrested in relation to the robbery at the Nand’s Mall car park remain in police custody and they are expected to be charged soon.
A salesman who was on his way to the Westpac bank Nabua branch was robbed off more than $49,000 cash and cheques worth $37,904.65.
According to police, the suspects threatened the salesman with a kitchen knife and later fled in a taxi which was found abandoned in Nabua.
