Suva to field reserves in final pool match
Defending champions Suva will field their reserves for their final Fiji FACT pool match at Prince Charles Park this Friday.
Suva has qualified for the semi-finals with six points together with Ba from Pool One.
Ba leads the pool with a better goal difference.
Nadroga and Labasa are out of the tournament.
In Pool B, Lautoka, with Nigerian striker Nelson Odaiji in fine form, leads with six points from two wins.
Rewa and Nadi are tied on three points each with the Jet-setters enjoying a better goal difference.
Navua could mathematically still creep in.
They will need a big win against Rewa and hope that Lautoka beats Nadi.
Rewa will be looking to do the same, so will Nadi.
Three teams – Lautoka, Nadi and Rewa – could all end up with six points each in that pool, so this pool is still wide open.
Nadi and Lautoka have an advantage as Rewa and Navua play first so the westerners will have a fair idea as to what is needed to progress when they face each other.
The FACT continues in Nadi from Friday to Sunday and will also feature premier teams Nasinu, Lami, Tailevu Naitasiri and Rakiraki.
