Tui Nadi title dispute judgement today

A judgement on the Tui Nadi title dispute will be delivered by the the chair of the I-Taukei Land Appeals Tribunal and former Magistrate Aminiasi Katonivualiku today.

The two claimants of the title, Ratu Kaliova Dawai and Ratu Sailosi Dawai have made their submissions.

Ratu Kaliova Dawai has requested the tribunal not to give the Tui Nadi title to the current Tui Nadi, Ratu Sailosi Dawai.

Ratu Sailosi was named the Tui Nadi after a decision made by the Native Lands Commission on the 9th of December, 2011.

A three member team of the Tribunal led by Katonivualiku will be at the chiefly village of Navatulevu in Nadi to deliver the judgement.
